How to procure Pyramid
Procurement-officer FAQs, vehicle selection, ordering process, and how to reach our contracts team.
Which contract vehicle should I use to procure Pyramid?
It depends on your agency and the type of services you need. GSA MAS is our most broadly applicable IDIQ, any federal, state, or local agency can buy IT professional services through it. GSA OASIS+ Unrestricted covers management consulting and technical engineering across the government. Agency-specific vehicles (CMS SPARC for HHS, SEC ONE IT for SEC, FDIC ITAS III, HUD O&M BPA) are typically used by their sponsoring agency. GSA 8(a) STARS III is our Small Business 8(a) GWAC, use it for set-aside requirements. When in doubt, reach out via our contact page and we'll recommend the right path.
How do I place an order under one of these vehicles?
Every vehicle has a standard 3-step ordering process: (1) build a performance-based statement of work, (2) send it to our contracts team through our contact page, (3) issue the order on your agency's approved order form (typically SF-1449). Each vehicle's sub-page on this site has the exact procedure plus our contract number, period of performance, and ordering officer contact.
What's the difference between a prime contract and a subcontractor position?
Pyramid holds the prime position on all seven of these vehicles. That means you contract directly with us, there's no broker, no markup, no third-party in the chain. The contract number is in our name. The performance accountability is on us. Prime status is awarded competitively by the issuing agency, and it signals a higher level of qualification, financial standing, and past-performance review.
How long does it take to get a task order awarded?
Most IDIQ vehicles support task orders in 30-90 days from SOW receipt. The fastest path is our GSA Schedule (which allows micro-purchases under $10K without a competition) and our 8(a) STARS III directed awards. Larger competitive task orders take longer depending on agency procurement processes. Our contracts team can give you a realistic timeline once we see the scope.
