ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy helping to save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. In 1992 EPA introduced ENERGY STAR as a voluntary labeling program designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The ENERGY STAR Hotline is the public face of the ENERGY STAR program. Pyramid, the Hotline and distribution center operator, is responsible for responding to calls and emails ontopics such as ENERGY STAR labeled products or home improvements, ENERGY STAR new homes, or how a building or plant can earn the ENERGY STAR label and receive a plaque. |
