Pyramid Awarded Major Contract to Maintain and Enhance Office of the CIO and Office of Administration Systems at HUD

Fairfax, VA, February 2, 2010 – Pyramid Systems Inc. (Pyramid) is pleased to announce that the company has been selected by HUD to provide ongoing systems maintenance and development support for the Office of Administration (OA) and Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

Under this contract (one year base and four one-year options), Pyramid is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operational support of business-critical HUD systems and future development and enhancement activities to provide additional business functionality and improve the end user experience. Additionally, it is expected that during the period of performance various legacy systems will be migrated or re-engineered to best conform to HUD standards. Pyramid is charged with performing any migration and re-engineering activities, as well as providing consulting and advisory services to HUD as needed with regard to IT portfolio alignment and enterprise architecture conformance. Some 20 OCIO and OA systems are included within the scope of this award.

Pyramid was selected by HUD on a “best value” basis. Key differentiators of the Pyramid offering included: CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating and documented methodologies for IT and service delivery, iterative software engineering capability, proven experience with the technologies involved in the contract, and knowledge of the HUD business and technical environments.

Under this contract, Pyramid will partner with HUD to ensure the following objectives are met:

• Improved service to HUD customers and business partners
  
• Enhanced functionality, reliability, and efficiency of automated systems
  
• Enhanced SDM documentation for OCIO and OA systems
