Pyramid Systems, Inc. (Pyramid) will provide the products, expertise, services and associated on-going support for the design, modification, development and maintenance of Treasury’s PeopleSoft HR Connect applications and modules at HUD.
This includes
- Providing production support for the HR Connect system currently in use at HUD
- Providing Help Desk Support and new development of the current Treasury HR Connect system
- Providing advice and recommendations for improved software performance, security and reliability for the system
- Developing new programs
- Providing Corrective and Adaptive Maintenance Software Support
- Providing documentation on systems and on procedures
- Providing training for users
HUD is one of many agencies striving to demonstrate efficient utilization of human capital to meet departmental objectives, invest in human resources to improve organization performance, and display responsible stewardship of taxpayers’ dollars. To meet these objectives, HUD identified in 2000 the need for “Integrated Human Resources,” and recognized it as the top priority in the Department’s Administration Consolidation Plan (ACP). By 2002, HUD completed a comprehensive review of current human resources, training systems and reports on their deficiencies and authorized an acquisition project for a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to eliminate these deficiencies by replacing or re-engineering processes, procedures and 17 disparate legacy HR and training information systems. During this process, HUD approved an acquisition project, the HUD Integrated Human Resources and Training System (HIHRTS), which resulted in the purchase of PeopleSoft HRMS: a Joint Financial management Improvement Program (JFMIP)-compliant commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) ERP package.
With the release of HR Connect by the U.S. Treasury, HUD made the determination that the majority of their HR requirements could be satisfied earlier and at a lower cost by utilizing this interagency ERP system.
