The Quality Assurance Manager works with Project Managers to develop and manage project-level quality assurance plans and schedules and executes QA activities according to plans and schedules, and works with the Director of Quality Management to define organizational process standards and methodologies for the corporation and for projects.
- Maintains consolidated audit schedule for all projects
- Conducts process and product quality assurance audits and reviews according to each project or functional areas’ QA Plans and schedules to ensure compliance with Pyramid Solutions Development Methodology (SoDM) process and deliverable development standards
- Identifies and documents non-compliance findings and works with project teams and organizational functional areas to create corrective action plans to manage non-compliances to closure
- Collects and reports quality metrics and performs trend analysis on the data to determine the organization’s compliance with Pyramid’s quality goals and objectives
- Supports the corporate Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) that develops, maintains, manages, and effectively implements and institutionalizes the Pyramid Solutions Development Methodology (SoDM)
- Provides mentoring and training on company methodologies
- Provides management oversight for all Quality Assurance Team activities:
- Ensures team’s adherence to all defined processes
- Leads and directs the work of others
- Manages QA employees’ schedules, time, and workload
- Mentors/Develops QA Engineers
- College Degree in Computer Science, Information Management System or related field, and/or specialized training beyond high school
- Minimum 3 years experience in quality assurance practices
- Knowledge of/experience with the CMMI process areas
- Ability to lead quality teams and projects
- Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Ability to plan and manage
- Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses creative and independent problem solving skills
- Possesses strong analytical skills
- Federal Government project experience desired
- Understands current best practices in software development
- Maintains current knowledge in latest software development methodologies and tools
